26th Tees Valley Leisure Ltd Redcar Half Marathon
(13 miles 192.5 yards - Accurately Measured)

The main race of the day is the Half Marathon, which is accurately measured at a distance of 13 miles and 192.5 yards.

The course is flat and scenic. It is ideal for beginners and excellent for seasoned runners wanting to improve their personal best times.

The route commences through the village of Kirkleatham and follows the A174 out to Marske by the Sea before returning via the Coast Road to Redcar and on to the finish by the historic Kirkleatham Museum.

The 2008 route is entirely new and therefore there are no Course records.

There will be a very limited number of entries available on the day.  You must register and pay at the Late Registration Desk on site between 0800 and 0930. Entries on the day are charged at £21.00/£19.00** UK Athletics club members.

** Please note, a £0.50 administration fee is added to all online entry fees. If a Credit Card is being used to pay for this transaction a 1.8% surcharge will also be incurred

Redcar and Cleveland PCT Family Fun Run
(Approximately 3 kilometres)

This is a new event for 2008, generously supported by Redcar and Cleveland PCT. 
We hope that families will use this run to kick start or contribute towards a healthier lifestyle, balancing healthy eating with exercise.  All runners will receive over £20 worth of TVLL vouchers entitling them to discounts on swimming, health and fitness and other options at any TVLL Leisure Centre.  See www.teesvalleyleisure.co.uk for contact details.

The course is entirely off road and scenic. It is ideal for adults and children to enjoy a healthy run (or walk!) in safe surroundings.
The route is contained within the Kirkleatham Museum and Showground site.  There are a variety of other attractions nearby to make this a great fun family day out.

You can enter the Family Fun Run on the day by registering and paying at the Late Registration Desk on site between 0930 and 1030. Entries on the day are charged at Adults £6,00*** and Under 18’s £4.00***.

*** Please note that all entries for the family Fun Run made on the day of the event include a contribution of 50p per entry to the nominated Race Charities.
