HALF MARATHON

The venue for the start and finish of the 2008 Tees Valley Leisure Redcar Half Marathon is the showfield at the Kirkleatham Village.  Starting on the Kirkleatham Lane adjacent to the showfield the route leaves Kirkleatham Village and takes in Marske before returning via the Coast Road and the seafront at Redcar en route back to the village.

On the course

  • A lead car displaying the race time will be at the head of the field and then located by the finish gantry
  • 3 water stations, at approximately 4.5 miles, 7.5 miles and 10.5 miles
  • A First Aid vehicle will sweep the course behind the race
  • Many official stewards along the route to cheer you on
  • The final mile of the Half Marathon is the Magic Mile - presenters and staff encouraging tired legs across the Magic goodies along this part of the route.
